Mary WoodMary C. Wood is Philip H. Knight Professor of Law and Luvaas Faculty Fellow at the University of Oregon School of Law and an expert in property, natural resources and public trust law. She has received several prestigious teaching awards and is a frequent speaker on climate change issues, in particular receiving national and international attention for her sovereign trust approach to global climate policy. Professor Wood’s upcoming book is Nature’s Trust: A Legal Paradigm for Protecting Land and Natural Resources for Future Generations. As a native of Oregon with a family history of farming, she advises Farmland LP on developments in the Pacific Northwest. She is also active in the local food movement in Eugene, helping the City of Eugene revise zoning laws to improve food security and promote food entrepreneurship. |
